In South Africa there is a general consensus that in relation to international standards there is a shortage of experienced high level goalkeeper coaches in South Africa. SHS is about specifically empowering aspiring goalkeeper coaches.

This support however is not limited to only goalkeeper coaches but to all soccer coaches from schools, amatuer clubs and universities. SHS acknoweldges that the greatest change in the sport will come from the coaches, as coaches on all levels impact multiple players and specifically at grass roots level they play a major role at developing young players.

SHS is committed to the development of the sport and all indivduals involed. SHS hosts workshops and soccer clinics in which the SHS specialist’s team work with the players and specifically with the coaches.

What does SHS provide the coaches?

• Working one on one with Andre Arendse - Tips, techniques and personal insights

• Insights into professional skills training – hands on approach by getting the
coaches onto the fields and experiencing it for themselves

• Talks delivered by past professional players – knowledge transfers

• Correct methods for – warming up the players, position specific training drills, effective communication with the players and correct fitness programs
